This is a search
made at the Land Charges department of the Land
Registry for a list of properties within England
and Wales owned by any individual. The search
will take up to a week. |
This register
is not open to the public and therefore searches
can only be made by the following persons: |
the owner of the properties
(you will need to provide proof
of ownership of one of the properties) |

a person
having the written consent of the owner, e.g.
a solicitor or property manager (you will need
to provide a signed letter of consent) |
|
a personal representative, e.g.
an executor under a will or an administrator where
a person dies intestate and a grant of Letters of
Administration has been made (you will need to provide
a copy of the grant) |
|
a Trustee, e.g. a Trustee in
Bankruptcy, a Receiver or a person holding the properties
in Trust under the terms of a Trust Deed or Will
(you will need to provide a copy of the Trust Deed
or other document establishing you as a Trustee)
|
|
a person having a Power of Attorney
to deal with the owner's property (you will need
to provide a copy of the Power of Attorney) |
|
a Liquidator (you will need
to provide a copy of the court order or other document
appointing you as a liquidator) |
|
a Creditor or other person who
has obtained a court order to enforce a judgment
against the owner's property or otherwise deal with
it (you will need to provide a copy of the court
order) |
