How long does it take to process
my search request in England & Wales? |
We are almost always
able to carry out your search and get the results
to you the same day that we receive your instructions,
provided your instructions are received during
office hours. Where instructions are received
out of office hours your search is dealt with
first thing during the next office day. Our office
hours are 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday and exclude
Bank Holidays.
Your documents will be uploaded
to your MyAccount page which you can access by
logging in. You will be sent an email from us
to let you know once your documents are ready.
If the title to the property
is not readily identifiable we will need to make
additional searches and/or enquiries. This will
cause a short delay. You will be advised of this,
however, and kept informed as to the progress
of your application.
Where the search is made by plan
it will take approximately 3-5 days. This is because
there are several stages to the search, and several
communications to be sent and received via the
Royal Mail. |
| Does it take longer in Scotland,
Ireland, Eire, IOM or the Channel Isles? |
Searches
in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Eire are usually
carried out the same day, as with England and
Wales. Searches in the Isle of Man and Channel
Islands take longer as the relevant Land Registry
offices are not internet based and are made by
telephone and / or post.. |
| How long does it take to process
my search by plan? |
| |
Where a search
is made by plan it will take approximately 5-8
days to be completed. This is because there are
multiple stages to the search and several communications
required by Royal Mail First Class Post.
