The Certificate of Title is one of the
2 main documents proving ownership and
providing details of property owned by
a person or company (Certificate of Title).
It contains the Allotment Number, Plan
Deposit Number, the Area and Hundred Address,
a list with reference numbers of any Easements,
Endorsements such as Mortgages & Caveats
and anyt Notations. It also contains any
Parent Title Number and the Names &
Addresses of the Owners of the Property.
If the property is owned by more than
one person there will be a statement to
state whether they own it as Joint Tenants
or as Tenants in Common. It will also
state whether the property is Freehold
(Fee Simple) or Leasehold.
The Survey Plan is the other main document
of title and shows an outline of the property
and those adjoining it, so that the property
can be identified in relation to those
nearby.
It usually contains survey dimensions
and angles and may also contain other
information such as floor plans and surveyors
certificates.
